Children to parents who long to have them is not the problem in society. Children to parents who don't want them is. All this ban is doing is hurting all parties. Work thru the possible issues involved with a surrogacy thru legislation rather than run from it.

There are so many wrong practices in India that could be banned, like child labor, prostitution, corruption, high college fees, the list is endless. You don't know the pain and suffering of childless couple, so you have put this ban. The surrogates atleast are earning thru legal means. With this ban, women will resort to illegal means of earning money. Because poverty is still a huge problem in India. I really wish this ban is lifted for the betterment of the surrogates and the child less couples

My wife and I are extremely grateful to India and our surrogate for providing us the foundation for completing our family. I hope the same foundation can be provided to foreigners along with India citizens in the future. I hope the Indian government can decide on how to regulate the health and safety of each surrogate mothers. God bless.

My son Finnegan was born in Anand, India on 11/13/2008 and it was the greatest day of my life! I hope that others will be allowed to give surrogacy a chance, for some such as my wife and I it was our last chance.

I'm Indian origin & recently got British passport. I decided to have baby through surrogacy & was searching about law & regulation in India & I found out about ban on foreigners which is very same. I think there would be much strick rules instead of completely ban.

A humble request.. pls think before you ban this concept of modern science. We are living in 21st century where rather than banning this kind of blessings for childless couples, we should focus on more regulations and avoid any kind of exploitation. Hope our government realizes the pain and sorrow that childless couples feel and go thru.
