Surrogacy is a new ray of hope for many couples who can not conceive naturally. It will be devastating does these couples I'd ban goes through.

As a responsible citizen of India, I strongly oppose to Indian Govt trying to ban commercial surrogacy completely. I woyld urge the honorable Foreign Minister and the cabinet to kindly try and understand that to thousands of Indian couples surrogacy is the only way to have a child. Please also know the current situation of adoption in India before asking childless couples to go for adoption. The ground reality is very different to what the cabinet thinks they are.

It is unfair to ban surrogacy for foreigners as well as residents. May be there could be one or two incidents happens which can be resolved. I wonder why Indian government is beyond this as there are many other issues which should have been high priority. People are dying day to day but it is funny and unethical to ban on giving life.

Putting a ban on surrogacy in no solution to stop exploitation of surrogates. It's very hard for people who not in the situation to understand what a miracle surrogacy is for the parents who have lost all hope and are desperate to enjoy parent hood. What is the point of magical advancements if such bans are put instead of properly regulating the process. If surrogacy is wrong so is any organ transplant, it's God's wish that your heart failed and it's your time to go, why have a transplant against his will!!! It is all about the perspective. The government has no appreciation of the pain and devistation that couples desperate for surrogacy will go through if this ban goes through. After 4 failed pregnancies and mental immense mental trauma over six years, we were helped by Dr. Patel to have some hope and are expecting our baby to arrive in a minth's time. I would give up anything to experience parenthood. Please do not shatter dreams of millions of needy couples instead regulate the process. Kind regards, Ritika Shah

It's hard to believe why ban for all, even couples born and brought up in India came to Foreign country are not the exceptional case for this ban? They should have some kind of jury make decision on based on all women's history chart, ban is not the solution for all. There are couples like us lost two daughters and gone through tough situation but always carried tears in there eyes, even now OB GYN said that's the only option we have it if we want another child. Why they can't evaluate all women's case(background, OB GYN suggestions, medical history) give them permission, doesn't matter where they are from, people like us really wanted to have another child after attempting certain try are not eligible to go to their home county and ask someone's help. We also trying to help other mother's as well who carry the baby, where they have no hope to earn money, we are trying to get opportunity others to stand up for their family and take care of their families too. I understand some of them misuse the service but can't government dedicate someone who check needed couples background and help them so that way all needed parents & surrogates are helping each others, lowering down sadness & neediness. Please humble request apply some conditions, review all couples history, also ask them for additional requirement to make any decision on it, get OB GYN opinions too and make it simple for everyone. Get some credit towards who lived in India (born and brought up their certain years). Regards, PP

this bill is not solving anything but a big blow to parents/single women who are not able to get their own baby. this will create more problems and corruption. this government is taking a very conservative approach.

I am an Indian Citizen and my husband was also citizen of India prior to aquiring US citizenship through naturalization. He is an OCI and I am an Indian citizen having very complex fertility issue and surrogacy being most likely option for us to have our family. We have our parents and siblings in India but unable to work on surrogacy in our own country because of this ban. Please kindly revisit this and help Intended Parents like us avail this only opportunity to have a family. Thank you.
