Our greatest gift is our daughter who was born through a surrogate in India who performed the most selfless act and we cannot thank her enough. Please do not ban surrogacy in India.

We tried to have a child for many years but without success. My husband was born in India so we were planning to finally be able to become parents through surrogacy in India. But then heartbreaking decision of Indian government taking our hopes away from us.
We might became NRI but we are Indian by birth!!!! Why Indian government is not going to allow us surrogacy is beyond our understanding.
We hope you gather enough signature and stories so that Indian government will reconsider.
Thanks,
Trisha

Please do not go forward with this ban. This is not only hurting the couples who are unable to experience the joy of holding a baby but the surrogates who need this to help them out of poverty. You the government are NOT able to help them with their poverty and now you are not only depriving the happiness of couples who are unable to have a child but the surrogates who depend on surrogacy for a way out of their poverty. Live a life of a couple who are unable to have a child and you we will see what pain and sadness is or live a life of a family living in poverty and you will what pain and sadness is.
The government is there to serve the people not destroy them. YOU THE GOVERNMENT ARE NOTHING BUT A FRAUD!

I am an NRI and Canadian citizen. I strongly oppose this ban on surrogacy treatment. Indian government must take this back because this is the last way to get a child.

This is not correct. Most likely the government is being bribed by foreign lobby to stop this program, so that it can flourish in the other countries. We who have gone through the pain of not being able to have a child through normal process or self IVF can only understand the need for surrogacy. The surrogate mothers also financially benefit a lot from the process and the government will do nothing to compensate.

The couples applying for surrogacy in India are mostly ordinary people like ourselves can only have a child via affordable surrogacy. Clinics like Akansha IVF Clinic, Anand took very good care of the surrogates and are not money minded. Surrogacy need to be monitored so surrogates ( and intended parents) are not exploited by unscrupulous clinics but definitely not banned. It is also a humanitarian act that should also be opened to deserving married foreign couples.

There are barely any surrogate mothers for Indians in the UK. Please allow our dreams for a family to continue through surrogacy in India.

I want this ban to be lifted for OCI couples. This ban is forcing people like me to give up my overseas citizenship and take up Indian citizenship. What if I become an OCI living in India then still this ban applies? This ban very depressing
