My 2 beautiful granddaughters, now aged 2 1/2 were born via surrogacy in India. How lucky we all were.

Please stop the ban. I have a nephew that is like my own born through surrogacy in India.

surrogacy is sometimes the only option for some that can't have children on their own. It would be a shame for the Inidan government to ban something they haven't tried to understand

Any foreigner can visit India, go to Kamathipura, or Sona Gachhi or G.B.Rd. and exploit Indian women, no BAN on it! But a couple who could not conceive , there would be a BAN on their seeking surrogacy under medical supervision!!!! What a fair policy?

Surrogacy is a open hearted process and many women choose to do it to help another woman not to make money. Without surrogacy families without children will lose all hope!

We have a beautiful young daughter thanks to surrogacy provided by Dr. Patel. We are not rich foreigners...just a couple who needed help growing our family, and also wanted to help out a family in India.

Great summary. So true. This is a win-win program that should continue.

More Regulation around surrogacy rather than baning. My friends are blessed with baby's and all because of surrogate who gave them the opportunity to be parents . For me these are real gods.

This is a win win. Mothers that are desperate to improve their families lives which would have never been possible and those that are desperate to become mothers which would have never been possible. Unless you are in either position it is difficult to understand

what a stupid thing to do its a win win situation the wonderful ladies that do this get financial security the goverment of India get taxes and the infertile couple get the gift of a baby ... i speak from personal experience . god bless our wonderful surrogate mom.

Please stop this ban. Through the help of Dr. Nayna Patel and her surrogates, Japanese married couples have their dreams fulfilled. Japan needs India's help to grow its Japanese population/citizens. Not by immigration of foreigners. Please don't take this valuable option away. Sincerely yours, Nobuko Inoue

We were fortunate to become parents after many years of struggles thanks to Dr. Patel. As I see it, it was a service that benefited both me and the surrogate. Ofcourse, I agree it was a tremendous service. But we were not there to exploit anyone. I have suffered and still suffer with Endometriosis and PECOS which made me infertile. Those who try to ban this tremendous service should take our stories into account.

As long as the women are choosing to be surrogates, I don't see an issue. Stop telling women what to do with their bodies.
