Surrogacy has given me and my husband a chance to have Children when I cannot have any. I appreciate the kindness of the surrogate mother and have never thought of exploiting her. We have shown her love and care all the time during the period of surrogacy. Do not ban surrogacy for foreigners and give them a chance to have children!

My surrogate ChandrikaBen in Anand India gave us our precious daughter Ayana Lakshmi. Without her and Dr. Nayana Patel our dream of having a family would not be possible. We did IVF four times! Tried the adoption route for 2.5 years with no success. Surrogacy was the final and last option for us. We are just ordinary people not rich foreigners trying to exploit poor women. I am still in touch with ChandrikaBen and continue to send her money on Diwali and Ayana's birthday! Don't stop surrogacy. Just have other clinics run it run Dr Patel does. The surrogates love her and she treats them like her daughter!

Foreign Surrogacy provides a better life for both the intended parents and the Surrogates and their Families. If this is stopped this would be such a tragedy for everyone involved. There are so many other situations where exploitation is clearly evident that the Government of India should be paying attention to, such as child exploitation.

Our son was born in India through surrogacy, March 07/2013.
Big THANKS to one incredible woman who helped us to achieve our biggest dream to become parents. If it wasn't her we wouldn't have our beautiful son today.. Also, we are so happy that she & her family now live in a new house built with the money she received. I don't think it should be banned.

She gave us hope and we saw light at the end of the tunnel at her clinic government can't understand how infertility affects a person. It's one women helping another women please allow others to enjoy motherhood thought surrogacy a person only choose surrogacy when there no hope for that person to have children.

Our beautiful twin daughters were born in India. Mother India has given us so much. They have just celebrated their 5 th birthday, surely legislation can produce happier outcomes for all, than a blanket ban would do? Please consider the potential benefits to all, as well as the risks and consider a legislative path towards helping ALL.

tourism dollars spent by me in the process of our successfull sorrogacy was over $20,000. that does not inclue the money spent on the acutal surrogacy failiures and successes. nor does it include fees paid to the government for various papers or separate fees for faster papers. i would never have traveled to india without the oppourtunity to have my own child. when my children are done with school, i will offer to take them to visit their birthplace. i felt blessed to receive a wonderful gift from the ladies of india. i was happy to help those same ladies move from a home that would not be acceptable for our animals into a cinderblock home with electricity. we were happy to help with some personal expenses for the surrogates and their families. i would never have been able to have children of my own without their help. i agree that the process should ensure that the ladies are doing this by choice and will remain in control of all their monies received from giving of their bodies. i don't think that it should be banned.

If it wsn't for surrogacy, I would never have come to India. I would not have stayed there for more than a month. I would not have fallen in love with the country and the culture. I would not be teaching my child (born through surrogacy) about their birthplace.

We can't thank our surrogate enough for the truly amazing gift that she has given to our family. We would really like to see surrogacy in India continue and progress in term of the establishment of a clear set of guidelines and requirements to service providers, to ensure that all surrogates are treated with the upmost respect and care. They are wonderful woman who are making families dreams come true.
