Please don't take away the rights of women to use their own resources to make a better life for themselves and their families. Surrogacy is empowerment, not exploitation. It should, however be more regulated to ensure all concerned are cared for properly.

Surrogacy in India made me a mother of my two year old twin girls, whom I adore. I tried to get pregnant for seven years before that. If it wasn't for dr Patel's clinic in Anand, I would not have a family and would not be able to realize my dream. Rasing children is hard, but putting them into the world shouldn't be. But when your body isn't able to do it, you need help. What I don't understand is why it's going to be forbidden for foreigners, but still legal for Indians. Is it's legal, it should be legal for whoever needs it. I remain in contact with the surrogate who gave birth to my babies, and her life is better for it, as well as mine. The ban just doesn't make any sense.

Surrogacy benefits both parents who can not naturally conceive their children, as the surrogate mothers are able to improve their quality of life. Besides India as a country you should see the business "medical tourism" which also involves a benefit to the economy.

Please stop this ban, we were blessed with a son via surrogacy in Anand, India. If surrogacy was not possible my husband and I would not have been able to experience parenthood.
