After 9 loses over 9 years, this was our only option to try to have a child. How this can be banned so abruptly and without discussion is not fair, I cried my heart out when I heard this as I am due to start ivf again, but with uncertainty of the next steps. This needs to be reconsidered for all parties, the intended parents and the surrogates and how it can be life changing for both sides.

The Surrogate are proving their own lives and their families by becoming surrogates. They know what is involved in becoming a Surrogate and no one can force them to do it, as they need the support from their families.

My grandson would not be with us if it were not for an Indian surrogate who financed her children's education by being a surrogate.

To ban surrogacy would be depriving so many people of happiness.

It's a right of every woman to achieve motherhood irrespective of where she resides. Surrogacy is a noble cause and I strongly support this petition

People choose surrogacy as last option when they have endured a fruitless fertility quest for years. Banning this would mean such couples would lose this oppurtunity.

We have a beautiful daughter born to an Indian surrogate. This would not have been possible for us any other way. It is extremely tragic that India is proposing to stop foreign nationals having the opportunity to have children this way whilst at the same time curtailing the massive benefit to the surrogates and surrounding community that this service currently brings.

Surrogacy allows the most basic human gift of children to parents that otherwise could not have them. It is a win win situation for both the parents and surrogate and I would welcome stricter regulation to better protect both parties but not a ban.

Biggest mistake that India can make. Why would you want to stop something which helps both woman out and brings happiness to both in different ways. This should definately not be banned. Hospitals and clinics have worked so hard to get into a position where they can be recognised for giving a reward. This is optional from both parties so governorment should not have a say in this matter.

Please do not take this from us. Indian surrogacy was the only way we were able to have our son and the only way our surrogate could get her children an education. We still want to have a second child.

Surrogacy is simply women helping women that is helpless. It benefits both families because its a gift of life and hope to both native Indians and foreign couples. Indian government should not ban foreign couples from benefiting. I benefited and my surrogate remains ever greatfull.

So many have been blessed with a full family due to the great service of these women and in return are able to help their own families climb the social status.

Surrogacy is not a facility given to couple longing for a baby but it is a gift of life provided by Surrogates to childless couples, who could not have a baby due to medical reason.. Even Surrogate has been given good amount for providing 'rent a womb service' by which they can lead good life so there is no question of exploitation, It is always with their consent and they are most happy when they complete their term and happily gives away baby to intended parents.

Mumbai court has lifted ban on two clinics today for couples undergoing treatment. Please Let common sense prevail for all International couples like ourselves who have India and our wonderful surrogate mother to thank for this amazing personal journey Which gave us our Son last June. To all the petions signed from couples all over the world you have done yourself proud. Children born through IVF surrogacy like standard IVF treatment are Cherished and Loved in the extreme. I sincerely hope the Indian Parliament debate this in a democratic and empathic way to ensure India like the USA continues as a world leader in providing IVF Surrogacy for all. Kind regards
