We need to punish the owners of the "dogs gone bad" not the breed - i was born and raised around many dogs, most of which were pitbulls.. never had a problem!!!!!
I know many pitbuls who are so sweet and kinf and who would harm anyone. Its the owners who are to blame for the poor behavior not the dog
While we're at it why not just ban all guard dogs? because these pitbulls and other dogs are trained to do this! it makes no sense to ban a dog breed when more are trained like this from other breeds!
People are the problem, not the animal. Would you ban a child for shooting someone when it's the parents who gave them the gun and said shoot?
The owners are the problems, not the dogs. There is already a stigma around pitbulls which attracts the wrong owners who train the dogs poorly which creates more of a stigma. We need to control who can own dogs and pitbulls not ban them.

I owned a mastiff/pitbull...she was so sweet and playful.i never thought i would ever own one...i used to stereotype pitbulls as well.But Marley was a sweetheart and i dont think its the dogs...its the owners!!!!!
