Texting while driving is occuring too often and it has to stop. With 3,092 people killed in 2010 alone from texting and driving these number need to drop immedietly. Texting is a compulsive behavior and is distracting people in a terrible way that is resulting with lives being taken. Also, nearly half a million people are injured each year due to texting while driving, and as smart phone technology increases so will the deaths of many people texting and driving. Over 800, 000 vehicles are being driven by someone using a hand-held mobile phone or cell phone. If this increases so will the deaths of innocent people, too.
