Tasers are potentially lethal weapons and there have been several cases where innocent people were Tasered unnecessarily. These incidents are occurring with the current number of Tasers. However, The Met Police Commissioner (Bernard Hogan-Howe) said he was planning on having a every police car in London armed with two Tasers. These "less lethal" weapons are only supposed to be used as a last resort, but with this rule not being adhered to, if the number of Tasers do increase, the number of wronged Tasered victims are most likely to rise. Are Tasers really protecting us, or threatening our safety?
