Due to the amount of NON staff who have wanted to join petition and all the emails I have received from NON staff wanting to petition, I have set up this NON STAFF petition.
We are petitioning the Suffolk PCT against choosing a priviate contractor to run services over NHS, which are doing an excellent job. There is a complete lack of PUBLIC knowledge about commisioning. Serco, a company with little experience of running anything like a community Health trust have been shortlisted.
If you are a non staff signature PLEASE sign this one as a non staff member (I will automatically remove you from the previous petition when you sign this NON STAFF one).
So far we have had a great responce but suffolk PCT want to bring the date of the announcement of the preffered bidder forward to the 22nd of March, and I was going to present my petition on the 27th. I have been told that this is nothing to do with our petition. But we need to act fast. Please send this one to you non Suffolk Community Healthcare contacts and get them to sign.

The Suffolk PCT is speeding up their timeline to silence us before we can present our case. Email your local representatives right now to demand a public explanation for why they are rushing this privatization process.

The response to this non-staff petition shows that our community will not allow our healthcare services to be handed over to a private contractor. Post this link to your Facebook page immediately and text three friends to ensure they add their names before the deadline shifts.

shameful. stop trying to privatise everything
My family relies on these services and they are fine as they are. Why fix what isnt broken just to line someone elses pockets?
PRIVATE COMPANIES OUT OF THE NHS. FULL STOP.
Keep our NHS public! Serco has no business running our local health services.
Leave the NHS alone. The staff do a brilliant job and we dont need some random company coming in to ruin it.
