This is a long time coming. Can't believe there hasn't been one here the whole time the school's been there. I'm all for this. Or at least another crossing guard!
The safety of our children should be the primary concern of our community. Traffic affects should be considred only after you have ensured our kid's safety.

This is a very dangerous intersection we need a stop sign here desperately. I have witnessed countless near misses of children and parents by speeding motorists here. Stop signs save lives!

We absolutely need a stop sign here! I don't understand why this should even require a petition. It's just common sense. we need a stop sign at the other end of San Jose also, so we can stop turning blind, since it's impossible to see on coming cars until you are in the intersection! kids are always dashing across that street to get to school. it's horrifying to see!!

As a Landscape Architect who has been involved in many large scale urban designs, I am glad someone has had the courage to bring this up to the City of Burbank. It's very obvious from the driver's perspective that a Stop Sign is needed at this corner. Most people stop here anyway, but that also confuses cross traffic that assumes traffic along Kenneth will stop here. It's understandable on paper that drop-off traffic will create a backup scenario but in reality I would predict the benefits outweigh the cons. We may even find that stop signs speed up the flow of traffic overall and that we will experience less backup on San Jose. I suggest stop signs be added along sixth st. to increase the flow along San Jose which gets extremely backed up in the mornings. There are many blind spots along the 6th St. / San Jose corner as well.

1st and for most for the safety of our kids but it would help with the traffic that collects there as well.

Petition for stop sign at Kenneth and San Jose
A Crossing Guard would also be good.
