It is absolutely madness, i am stuck in traffic every day on the main roads, which are gridlocked, but the pollution is 10 times worse, if you go through the back doubles you are through there in no time, not much pollution, The nutters are running the asylum.

23 Churchfield Road Pressure must be put on the Prime Minister's Government to ensure Councils stop shutting streets, rather, to make them user friendly

It is madness to make it even harder for people to use their cars at a time when we should be avoiding public transport as far as possible.

Boroughs don't have the right to exclude themselves from the free flow of a busy city.

Shutting street is causing a huge problem for Private Hire and other industries. It has increased journey times and decrease our earnings. On top of all, our mental health has been challenged.

It’s easy to sit in an office and put cross on a map to close roads without thinking about those people who earn their living being cab driver/delivery man and you name it

I agree with petition totally I have already fallen foul of these draconian measures on a road I have been driving up and down for 40 years now a small section is a no though route for anything but Buses, Taxi's and authorised vehicles! And yet we are a major part of the transport system in London so TFL tell us but we are the poor relation. We have a job to do but are being being discriminated against and penalised for doing our job by TFL PCO and all London Councils This has to be stopped now.

STOP ROAD CLOSURES

In the event that I should be unfortunate enough to need any of the emergency services, it will take them longer to reach me. The closures also provide a get-away route for bicycle or moped riding criminals. Not every one is capable of riding a bicycle. For example, my 88 year old, partially sighted mother refuses to swap her wheelchair for a tandem. How many bicycle deliveries will be needed to replenish the shelves at supermarkets, in lieu of a 40 ton lorry? I have never seen a plumber carrying a boiler on the Central Line, nor had a fridge-freezer delivered by a bicycle courier. Not everyone has a shower to use when arriving at work either hot and sweaty or cold and wet if they were to cycle to work. This headlong rush to build more cycle lanes and close roads to "make it safer for cyclists and pedestrians," is choking London. We live in a world -class city, not a rural backwater.

The venerable, sick and elderly do not feel safe using Public Transport especially with Covid-19 increasing, this policy of closing off roads is at odds to keeping London and other citi's moving. We as drivers pay for the roads through our car tax, that you are giving up to cyclists, that hardly exist in numbers to warrant such closures.

Cycles are fine for fit people, not carrying much, in reasonable weather. A majority of other people suffer when they can`t get fromA to B in a sensible time. Please think of those and have a more balanced view before road reductions and closures. We must keep traffic moving (less time for journey also equates to less pollution.
