Bullying needs to stop!

Something NEEDS to be done. Our military kids have so many things to worry about, going to school should not be one of them. Do your jobs, protect the vulnerable and punish the guilty. The schools needs to open their eyes, bullying is right in front of you and you refuse to see it.

We have had multiple bullying experiences. When we reported to the school they say their hands are tied and they can't do anything. My teenagers have had to discipline many and stop kids from fighting and even a child threatening another kid with a piece of glass. We have talked to the bus office and garrison but we get the same response. Our hands are tied. So our child now doesn't ride the bus and we must drive him 15 minutes to and from school. We are definitely not receiving the support for being in a foreign country.

Thank you for writing this petition. This is an important issue for our community. I have spoken to many children and teens who have shared many stories of bullying which they report occurs on a regular basis. This has a long-term detrimental impact on our children/teens. I know as a community we can address this issue positively by providing bystander intervention training for our kids, teachers and families. I believe that volunteers or paid monitors can provide the supervision and support our children require. Thank you for supporting the needs of our community.

Bullying and violence don't belong, the person can walk to school or have their parent take them if they do this.

Our bus has a monitor, but all busses should. They should be actively on the look out for problems such as bullying.

No child should be afraid to ride the bus.

While my children don't ride the bus, it is important to keep all children safe in school environments. I have heard from friends of myriad instances of bullying on the buses.

This is my first time living abroad (on the economy) with a retired Army, now civilian husband working for the Army. I find it unconscionable that this should be allowed to happen once, much less more than once without severe repercussions (and counseling) for the attacker and the victim.

Something has to be done to stop this. It shouldn't be an issue but it is and officials are just turning their heads

Please support the children of this Wiesbaden military community and provide the necessary adult supervision on the buses that move them to and from school to home.

It is horrible to hear how little is being done about this. Shame on the school and this post to allow something like this to continue on.

These acts of senseless violence and bulling need to end. These "just kid acts" and "everyone gets bullied at some point of time" is ridiculous coming from the local school officials and speaks highly for the care our children are receiving. There are plenty of parents and community volunteers that will ensure a solid and invaluable plan can and will be implemented. Safety of our community children should never be a "budget nor finance issue.

In unrelated to what is happening her but why we should put a stop now, my friends son just committed suicide. He was just shy of his 11th birthday. He was being bullied non stop. We need to put our foot down and end this as parents and have a serious talk with our children on how they are treating others. We also need to have schools and buses ensure the safety of students at all times.
