CUNY finally folded and canceled that commencement speaker after we hammered them for weeks. This is a massive victory against a university that keeps rewarding hate with taxpayer money. Keep your eyes open because we are not going to let them try this again.

CUNY has invited Linda Sarsour--a known anti-Israel activist and radical Islam sympathizer--to give its commencement address. CUNY is partially-funded with taxpayer dollars. Sign this petition and tell CUNY that they should not be giving a platform for Linda Sarsour's offensive views!

Ms. Sarsour has the right to free speech in this country even if it radical and obscene. She absolutely does not have the right to speak these words at a taxpayer funded institution of higher learning that is not supposed to be espousing political causes.
This is not an issue of 1st amendment rights. No one is saying that she cannot express her views regardless of how reprehensible they are. However a cheerleader for the murder of Jews and a defender of female genital mutilation should never be honored by CUNY.
I am a graduate of CUNY and her presence on campus, let alone given the honor of a commencement speech is an absolute disgrace to my educational institution. I find her offensive and this is not acceptable. If this takes place, I will withholding my funding donations going forward.
This is NOT an appropriate choice of speakers for a commencement address. Have her speak at a lecture during the year where attendance is optional, if you must, but this is not someone who should be speaking at a graduation.
How disresoectful of the Jewish students to invite her to speak at a public commencement. Rather than embrace diversity and acceotance, she divides, incites hate and is a vety poor representative of the Cit University if New York. Shameful that the university administration even considered her.
After all of the people in this city lost on 9/11, they should be fired for making this an issue.

Our taxpayer monies should NOT be used to allow this radical woman to have a platform to speak to the college students. Conservative and right wing speakers have been thrown out or disallowed from speaking to student bodies on campus and this hate filled woman definetly must not be permitted to do so!
