Aggie Fields & Rec center project is a wonderful idea and it sounds quite appealing to most of us (at least those of us who are planning to be around USU after 2015 since that's when the Rec center will be ready according to their timeline).
However, it is time to stop raising all the necessary funds from students. We already pay more than enough for the maintenance of current facilities when many of us do not even use it. Ask private sector for help and don't put such a drastic extra fee on students who ar already deep in loans for their education (and not recreational spots). Moreover, do not seek support from student athletes since many of them are already covered with scholarships that pay their tuition and fees, hence they do not fully realize the weight of extra $60-75 in fees every semester on top of current student body fees.
Do not compare USU to OSU or WSU since they are not cutting back on tuition funds and tuition waivers as USU is currently doing but realize that students are the most important assets of this University and they should not be forced into this.
Give us a choice of being able to opt in or opt out of paying the fee or just decrease the amount of the fee per semester.
Voting is not a solution here, ask US, listen to US. 49% to 51% will surely be democratic but will still force 49% of students into paying a fee they don't agree with.
OPT OUT OPTION PLEASE. stop making us pay for stuff we dont use.

Seriously? I am drowning in student loans as it is. Why are they trying to squeeze more cash out of us when they could just get a donor for this.
