This an area of natural beauty that I personally know very well, an oyster farm and anything similar will completely ruin the area. I have seen first hand of what an oyster farm has done to Carrickfinn with the killing of all the local mussel beds.

Why do you have to go and ruin some of the only natural places left on the Planet. There are obscure places you could use instead.

Cruit Bridge and Keadue strand are places that I spent most of my summers. Down there I do water safety which teaches me CPR and how to swim and other necessary water safety skills. It is a place where my friends and cousins and I like to spend time together and it is filled with memories.

This is one of my favourite places to visit when home. It is a great place to stay for children as the beach offers so much to do and the natural beauty makes your heart smile even when the weather is bad.

My childhood and those of generations before have used this beach and the bridge for public enjoyment, from fishing, swimming, crabbing, jumping off the bridge ( a local tradition for many years) horse riding, water sports, the list is endless, you would have to come to the area to know this!!!! I would like to think these traditions will continue with the next generation. Holiday makers from Europe come here for its natural beauty and fall in love with it and return time and time again. The area relies on tourism for their economy. Our family own the 1st 5 houses on Cruit and look down onto the beautiful beach, the view is breath taking. This will be no more if this project goes ahead. Our family run a B&B and holiday rental business, this will be destroyed! Who will want to come and look out on an Oyster Farm! Two jobs will be created but many many local businesses will lose trade. Has this lady done her research to see how devastating this will be to the local community? please re consider this proposal. Thanks

It just beggars belief that something like this can go ahead without consulting with local residents :a place as beautiful.and tranquil and unspoilt as cruit ;undr no circumstances should this be allowed to go ahead
