We have had similar abominations in New Zealand that have not had appropriate consultation. My grandfather was from Ireland so would hate to see the same happen there!!

Donegal has suffered enough from 'development'. This pristine site should be left untouched.

There must be 100s of alternatives which would not spoil an obvious beauty spot which attracts locals and tourists.

Dear Minister Creed
I am writing to voice my concern over a proposed oyster farm on what seems to industrial scale for the northern shores of Ireland around Donegal and particularly Cruit Island area. I believe this planning application was not in fact widely made public, and we are only being alerted to the fact in recent days. I most certainly object in the strongest terms to this farm being given the go ahead. This is an area of outstanding flora and fauna and this farm would pollute the sea and air which many of us dearly enjoy on our frequent trips to the area. Please do not hesitate to protect our shores for our continued enjoyment and use.

Dear Minister Creed, I am opposed to the allowing the proposed oyster farm be constructed along the coastline of Kincasslagh Bay and Cruit Island would be cheating the Irish People of the use of their own natural resources. As a regular visitor to this area to enjoy the flora and fauna, I have researched this farming method and have found that there is not one solitary point in favour of allowing it. Well, not for the locals or the Irish people any how. Please reconsider this reckless decision. Thank you.

The proposed Oyster farm at Cruit and Keadue Strands will damage the ecosystem of these tidal stretches and have the potential to ruin tourism in the area. As a visitor, privileged to own a property in the area I support schemes that provide jobs and income for residents but this creates almost no work and massive destruction.
Please retract this decision as it will ruin this lovely area and dire results for tourism and local trade in the long run
