We need appropriate & responsibly-sized development in this area. This project is neither.

It is the tremendous increase in traffic and the likelihood of a big increase in accidents - many with children in the vehicles - that I oppose this rezoning proposal. And, the "walking to work" justification is a pipedream. This project may be good for Bentonville, but not in the "downtown" area, except perhaps SE 8th Street with its (to be) five lanes?

This would be horrible for the elderly in this area at legacy. Put in more up class senior housing or nothing at all

There are other places to build this complex. Please keep the beauty and peace of the park be.

Memorial park is for recreation for all ages. Apt complex would mean a great increase in traffic; adding to overflow of traffic already occurring from activities in the Park area. Please preserve the beauty of our Bentonville environment. We do not want to be a congested city but a"green country town". CEC

This is a beautiful area and shouldn't be ruined with an apartment complex and extra traffic. My son runs through here daily and the extra traffic would be a huge concern.

I am totally against this development! 650-units is HUGE. Think of it this way - If 27 acres were developed into a community with 1/2 acre lots, you are talking about 54 homes and families, 1/4 acre lots, 108 families. A development of this nature would destroy this area which let's not forget includes Crystal Bridges. This area is one of the nicest, safest places for families to go and enjoy the Buckyball and trails, park, swimming pool and play areas. This whole area will be lost to all of us due to overcrowding and will become totally occupied with tenants of that 650-unit apartment complex that have not paid any taxes to support the development of this area. And let's not forget to mention the stress on our already over crowded schools. This will displaces kids from surrounding areas that depend on Washington Middle School. The proposed 650-unit complex is just wrong for our community and I can't believe the City and Crystal Bridges Foundation didn't stop it at the door! Very, very sad deal for our community if this passes.

Crystal Flats is totally inappropriate for this area of sports complexes for children and hospice and elderly housing.

I live in this area. My son's cross country team practices throughout the Memorial Park area. An apartment complex would ruin the tranquility of the existing neighborhood(s). Strongly against! This would be foolish development project for the City of Bentonville.

Consider the 4700 additional cars per day by hour. Most traffic will be coming and going just before 8, and just after 5.

Against this proposal. It is not a good fit for this area for so many reasons. Wonder how the planning committee would feel if this were in their area? They wouldn't want it either. Hospice is supposed to be a quiet and calming environment for someone's last days. They wouldn't get this if this were placed there. Where is the respect for people in their last days?

Don't approve. Take this garbage tower complex elsewhere towards Rogers or Springdale.

While this may be a beautiful idea it is being proposed to be built in the wrong place. Just as there is no desire by people of Bentonville to have a trailer park downtown there is no desire to have this large apartment complex right by our park, school and museum. It will do nothing to solve the issue of affordable housing in downtown Bentonville either so quit using that as an excuse.
