In additon to comments here ,please write [email protected]. Mark your correspondence under Brandywine Country Club project 2017-0042. The County only recognizes correspondence sent to them with identifier number and signatures. This must be done via email as well as snail mail. The County and Deldot seem to want the 202 cut thru based on my phone call with Marco Boyce an engineer with NCC. This was as recently as yesterday. The current zone of Suburban still allows enough housing to require a second exit. Our community needs to fight the apartments and the possible rezone. In the next week or so the dreaded yellow board will be posted in front of the BCC property . Read it and get angry that NCC is even willing to consider this proposition. The public notices for hearings are to be published in the News Journal on a Saturday a few weeks in advance. They are vague on timing as this is a fluid process. These public hearings should not fall below the community's radar. Pay attention to the details. Check the NCCDE.ORG website as well as info published in the News Journal. This is a time Brandywine /Talleyville and Shipley Road needs to be LOUD

I am opposed to size and scope of the proposed development, based on its negative effect on Shipley Road and Concord Pike and thereby on the quality of life for residents in the area.

Our local roads are busy enough. There is no way adding this many new homes will not over-crowd this area. Pretty soon Shipley will look like Naamans. Stop it already.

I am not opposed to the building of single family homes as currently zoned. Anything more dense than this will add to traffic problems.

There is already so much traffic on Shipley road, it often takes letting a dozen cars to go by until we can turn out onto the road. Do NOT allow approval of a zoning variance (to allow over 550 housing units including apartments) on the former Brandywine Country Club property. We, the nearby residents, are very concerned about the additional traffic on our roads. Our community wants this acreage to remain open green space for current and future generations.

The proposed project is too high of density

It is time to repurpose some of the vacant retail along Concord Pike that is already bricks and mortar. Let's leave what little green we have left, green.

If I wanted to live in multi-family environment, I would have moved to the city. Building apartments next to my development Devon will turn our area into inter-city congestion.

We are long term residents of Devonshire and are opposed to the proposed plans for the Brandywine Country Club.

Stop overcrowding North Wilmington. It is getting hard to exit on Shipley road as it is with 550 proposed additional residence we are going to be inundated in traffic.

We all bought single family homes in this residential area for a reason. Say "ABSOLUTELY NOT" to this variance request.

The developer has said that there are fewer and fewer places to develop in North Wilmington. What that *should* tell you is that it's time to stop developing here, not that you need to find creative ways to cheat the zoning. This is an unwanted intrusion. We urge Councilman Bob Weiner and all of the NCCo Council to vote against the zoning variance.

Please do what you said you would do: preserve open land in North Wilmington and maintain your integrity by not falling prey to super rich developers. What a shame.

Awhile back I saw a post about Delaware can not find a way to expand rt 202 and ask people for ideas. This is the complete opposite of what can be done to help track

Please write AND email the NCC Land Use. Email [email protected]. Be sure to include : Rezoning of Brandywine Country Club Application 2017-0042. Hard copy correspondence is to be directed to: Richard E. Hall, AICP New Castle County Government 87 Read's Way New Castle , DE 19720. Put Attention 2017-0042 on outside of envelope as well as inside with your complaint. Planning questions: 302-395-5400. Fax 302-395-5587 Our community does not want this Surburban property to be rezoned to Suburban Transition. That would allow multiple apartments and the high density housing plus the cut through from Route 202 to Shipley. It needs to stay at its current zone. That is how he bought that property. When the public hearing is announce for the rezone request there needs to be a huge turnout. So please pay attention to the NCC website and published media date.

This area is already congested and more development will be detrimental to all of us who live here and the ecological system.

This would only add more congestion for an at capacity community.

Building of such great proportions in this area is a disgrace. Just around the corner on Silverside Rd., the Concord Plaza is being redeveloped. Do people realize how the weight of the constructed structures will cause a problem with the water table underground and possibly cause a flooding situation into nearby residences. More water usage, sewer treatment, etc.. The Brandywine Hundred area does not need any more houses, apartments, or condos.
