I wonder how 300 trucks a day would be received in a neighborhood like Hiddenbrook. They know the immediate neighborhood is low income and high in rental property lacking a coherent political voice.

I do not want this Orcem facility anywhere near our town. The citizens of Vallejo already contend with enough disastrous particulate matter in the air here. Something like this will seriously make me consider selling my home and leaving this place.

I'm concerned about the project's impact on local water and air quality, and the irreparable damage to be introduced to local wildlife. And it does not justify the economic "improvements."

No, No ... And damn it no, too many of my friends are sick from current particulates in air and, if you venture out to Benecia state park and walk along the rocky coast towards Carquinez bridge the smell and feeling of gas in your lungs from current ships in bay is noxious and disturbing. Here we have a salt water marsh with endangered and soon to be endangered creatures and we are creatung a toxic enviorment for them and us. Talk a walk along the bay, and see, smell and feel what is already happening. If that does not jolt you, something is seriously wrong, or your planning your exit with expected funds from Orcem or anyone one of the current polluters. Current flimsy oversight is not working !!!! already. There has to be another way to get funds for Highway 37 or for a deep water port. Seriously, are we really a bunch of suckers?

Unless you own a bar, the value of your business and home value will diminish over night. Twenty two million into,the local economy?? Hogwash! The the average resident of Vallejo will never see a dime of it. The owners of the company are the only ones that will profit from it and there is absolutely no benefit to the city of Vallejo. If you live writhin 5 miles of the proposed scam, you better call your Realtor as the value of your home will drop to almost nothing. When selling a home you talk about the benefits of buying in your neighborhood. Name one benefit this scam will provide. Ask the people of Cupertino Ca what they think of having Kaiser Permanente cement plant in their neighborhood.

I live a block away from the intersection of Lemon and Curtola, which I understand will become a thoroughfare for heavy semi trucks if this plant is built. How will this impact the bus traffic at the refurbished Transit center? Noise, air pollution... The foot of Lemon Street could be a beautiful waterfront site. Does Vallejo want to be more like Sausalito, or do we want to turn South Vallejo into a mini-Hunter's Point, with water access cut off by stinky industry and lowered property values?
