Petition to the General Public: Stand Against the Inhumane Culling of Stray Dogs in Morocco Ahead of FIFA 2030
We, Dhyan Foundation, appeal to the global community to join us in stopping the inhumane mass killing of stray dogs in Morocco. Ahead of hosting FIFA 2030 with Spain and Portugal, Morocco is reportedly culling an estimated 3 million stray dogs using cruel methods.
These include:
- Poisoning with strychnine, causing slow, agonizing deaths.
- Shooting in public spaces, leaving dogs bleeding and in pain.
- Beating survivors to death with shovels, often in front of children.
Thousands of dogs have already suffered horrific deaths, violating Morocco’s own 2019 commitment to a humane Trap-Neuter-Release and Vaccination program for stray population management.
A Call to Action: This ongoing culling is not only cruel but also counterproductive to effective population control and public health management. Trap-neuter-release and vaccination programs are globally recognized as humane and effective strategies to manage stray populations while preventing the spread of diseases like rabies.
We urge you to:
1. Sign this petition to demand an immediate end to the killings.
2. Write to Morocco’s Ministry of Interior and FIFA , urging them to uphold humane practices.

The brutality against these animals is constant and exhausting to track. We need to hit one hundred signatures right now to prove that the world is watching these cruel actions before the tournament begins.

Stop this nonsense act...Morocco govt as well as FIFA should rethink on their respective action. Why didn't you neutered those babies long before to control population?? What's there fault?? Your govt is a big failure!! Wat a hopeless govt who cannot take care dogs and other strays how he will take care of his ppl!!!!
Please stop this cruel act. Rather rehabilitate them in shelter. Stop spending on medicines or objects to kill these innocent being, rather spend money in shelters for them. PLEASE STOP KILLING.
This is an unimaginable act of cruelty. Dogs are living beings with emotions, and they too have families. No event, not even FIFA, should justify such inhumane actions. Humanity is judged by how we treat the voiceless. This needs to stop immediately—let's protect and value every life
Please stop sacrificing the innocent dogs for FIFA. Quarantine them in a specific area, provide a shelter feed with food, from the funds of FIFA. Once FIFA is over free them, they too have a role to live in Earth.
Dogs are a part of our society . They should not be killed . And balance should be maintained in our ecosystem . They also have a life and have emotions ,they should be allowed to live
