We, the undersigned, call on Lulu super/hypermarkets to halt their sale of sharks and shark products as a matter of urgency. Sharks are increasingly threatened globally and their sale (particularly that of juvenile sharks which are often seen on Lulu fish counters) is wholly irresponsible and unsustainable. Many species have experienced severe declines in the last 30 years as fishing intensity has increased, with 70% reductions commonplace and 90% declines in stock occurring for many species. We call on Lulu to set a positive example and bring the sale of sharks to an end.

Saw a juvenile shark at the fish counter yesterday and i nearly walked out. so sad and unnecessary. please change your policy.
Who is actually buying this stuff?? Just stop it already.
its honestly gross seeing them in the ice at the supermarket. nobody even eats shark here so why do they keep restocking it? stop this.
STOP SELLING SHARKS LULU. its not right to kill them like this especially the babies. have some respect for the ocean for once.
they should be focusing on sustainable fish instead of wiping out shark populations. way too many of them are being killed for no good reason.

They sell it just for the kicks-of-it! Nobody is buying it! it is a rare case where there is no demand yet the supply exists! they sure have too much free time on their hands remaining from not having to deal with exernal supervision over their business.
