This is a violation of our rights. How much freedom can be taken from the parents and kids? It seems some people are trying to control everything and take everyone's freedom. When I was a kid, I could behave the way I wanted because I WAS A KID. I didn't have to be labelled. If I did something wrong, my parents, the teachers will let me know. If you look at our current society, more we have psychiatry involved, more horrors with mass killing and other actions are generated. Their treatments don't work, it makes things worse. It is better to just talk to a kid and take care of them. This law violates our rights. It's unacceptable.

I can't even believe someone would make this a law - this needs to be erased and forgotten about. I have a daughter and I could not imagine this ever happening. What an absolute nightmare. This is absolutely 150% not okay.

I have a daughter and I cannot support involuntary commitment to any institution without the express permission of the parent. True evaluation lies in the parents as they spend much more time with the child than a social worker or psychiatrist can ever spend and ultimately know what is right.

The parents of a child must be notified FIRST if there is any situation their child is involved with. Parents have the best interests of their children, first and foremost. Others probably do not.

There should be NO committed children whatsoever. Our children don't have a voice in this society and it is our job to protect them! The way that they are treated in these places is disturbing!

I think that kids should definitely not be allowed by any means to be taken out of their school and committed! The parents should be contacted and handle their children.
