This does not sound like America to me, where children can be taken against their will and their parent's will and held without any due process. Its outrageous and needs to be stopped!

This is unbelievable that parents are deprived of their rights with regard to their children! Involuntary commitment especially without parental consent has to end .

Kids and parents have rights. How humiliating it must be for a child to have to endure this kind of trauma perpetrated by the psychiatric state. Those that enacted this law and those that support it are the insane ones. Let's turn the light of truth on them and expose them for their crimes against humanity.

It is time to return to a civilization of civility and crush these barbaric monsters that want to destroy our society. Let them imprison themselves.

This is a crime that will end up in criminal charges. Best be proactive in closing down this psychiatric abuse of human rights.

Disgraceful treatment. God knows the Psychs are crazier than their patients.

Stop this disgusting action. The school, the state government and most certainly the psychiatrists and their institutions do not own our children.

This is nothing to do with healthcare, and everything to do with min control and brutal violation of human rights!

This is nothing but state sponsored child abuse, and absolutely must be stopped. What if your child or grandchild had a tantrum at school, and because someone arbitrarily decided he or she was a danger to himself or others, invoked The Baker Act and was led away in handcuffs by the police? Do you think this might haunt that child for a very long time? This is senseless, and cruel.

Parental rights need to be restored in Florida.

The relationship between a parent and child is the most natural and basic bond there is. Parents' rights should be a given, but in light of what is happening to the children (and future) of Florida, we MUST protect those rights! Involuntary Commitment is a horrendous experience for anyone, especially a child who will be traumatized and have to live with the label of being "Baker Acted" for the rest of their lives. The parents should have every right, power, and chance to help and do what's best for their child and this should always supersede the power of the state.
