Enforced confinement of children wihout parental knowledge or consent should be criminal. The state and psychiatric authorities have proven many times how incompetent and actually harmful they can be to children. The over use of harmful psychiatric medications on many children in state custody in Massachusetts is a blatant example .

If there is any way I can help please let me know!! I am a grandmother of three girls 13 11 and 5 my son was baker acted when he was 18 . I was once for no apparent reason was toxic with lithium was in Northside hospital when they took me over to phems It was like being in jail even though I have never been there I would be willing to go into detail about two of my stays at phems

I was over a mistake communication, I was on wrong , meds and did not know,so I had passed out do to my heart cocondition , I was unconscious,and put into an induced coma for 2 days, and my family even told the er doc I had missed taken my heart meds..no one cared.and I was treated like a crazy person, when finally a cardiologist came to see me and said I had a heart condition..I want to sue over this,can I ???

Stop Involuntary Commitment of Children in Florida. It's cruel and inhumane. There are way better solutions to these kinds of problems. Learn them and use them!
