This law is so invasive of our rights that it violates the true meaning of the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. To be able to take a child out of a school setting based on perhaps a child having a bad day maybe because their parents just split up without any real problem solving out of sheer laziness or because the vice principal is nurse Crachett, is just barbaric and something likened to what they did during the Spanish inquisition or witch hunting in Salem.
CCHR was founded on a similar instance when a man from another country was found seemingly babbling and so was institutionalized thinking he was insane. He was speaking a foreign language but the "authorities" needed to prove they were the authority and took him to the psych ward in PA somewhere. Dr Thomas
Szacs (spelled wrong sorry) was called in as well as a Scientologist and they realized he was just speaking a foreign language and got him released. He was mad or psycho. But the authorities really wanted him to be. Today's psychoanalysts and psychiatrista look at any kind of unusual behavior as a mental health issue.
Many would call Tony Robbins mentally ill because he is too excitable and would label him "manic". Or a bright kid who likes to read during recess and say he is neurotic or obsessive compulsive or simply depressed because they think he doesn't like other kids and he's antisocial
So this law is ludicrous and needs to be repealed.

The school my daughter goes to involuntarily committed my daughter with knowledge after the fact.
