Psychiatric intrusion into children's lives must stop! Parents' rights MUST come first and must be protected. The true danger to society is this type of program - NOT the children whom they want to categorize, label, and essentially kidnap.

I don't see how anyone in the government or law enforcement can make a choice that takes away your child. It is a person's god given right to be responsible for their own children and to make sure that they are prepared and set up to survive in this world. It is so crazy that this can be taken away and given to the hands of another, let alone someone who more than likely has a vested interest to make sure that child stays locked up longer as it means more income for them as well as continual employment for them.

My 34 year old daughter was baker acted on yesterday through the new Veteran Hospital in Tallahassee Florida within proper cause. I read the Florida Statue on baker acted and they had no reason to call it. It was her first visit and has never had any issue or concerns in the past. The person called it and required the baker act even after her mother (a public servant for over 26 years) arrived to confirm that his assumption were incorrect.

States cannot be allowed to usurp parental rights and tear families apart. Psychiatry has no monopoly on mental health or children. This has to end!

This law is in violation of human rights and needs to be revised. What if it were your kid?

Parents must be respected. They are responsible for their children and their freedom of choice over how their children are cared for must not be violated.
