The picture of the centre is ludicrous - there is not room for the trees pictured. Is this false advertising. I have sent a submission to council in hopes it gets to the right place now that we don't have a council anymore. Suggest emails via Hurlstone Park Association Committee would be a good thing too. Anyone proposing a childcare centre at this site clearly does not care for the well-being of children, much less the practicalities of parking/traffic and the impact on neighbours.

I am concerned of the proposal. The proposed Child Care Centre will breach current regulations and I strongly believe that the new centre will be an unsafe and unsuitable one for the prospective children.

Now this is a ridiculous proposal. Accessing New Canterbury Rd from Garnet Street will be a huge struggle.

This building is an opportunity to bring more diversity to Hurlstone Park. Is another childcare centre really required when there are 4 existing child care centres on the same block, including one already on Garnet St?

The driveway of the development meets right at the corner of Garnet Street and is very narrow and very close to the intersection with New Canterbury Road . I can not see how the traffic arrangements for the childcare centre will work with a ongoing drop off and pick up arrangement. Even Duntroon Lane as an access is absolutely narrow. The developer when applying with Canterbury Council for the extra height - during the various court cases indicated that all commercial parking activities for the 7 shops would occur in the
underground car parks for the 7 shops. I can not see 90 parents driving down a narrow lane and into a multi storey car park and the snake out again ...on Garnet Street. The developer indicated that the traffic out of the unit block was to only to turn left into New Canterbury Road. This would mean in busy periods a long cue of cars waiting on the exit ramp . Residents wil lliterall be trapped in Garnet Street.
So Garnet Street and the surrounding streets will get a lot more traffic. Developer wins more value and rent , ignores his original proposal and the neighbourhood loses out.

Councils are getting greedy. Construction of new development is mediocre and rosds are disgusting. Before wasting money lets fix the roads and fix tge congestion. These developments can not continue.

What a disgrace. the area is absolutey congested and there is no parking at all. Construction trucks are constantly speeding up 50km streets where our kids walk. Then parents will do drop offs:pick ups the same way. Enough is enough

The council needs to stop approving all these developments. The infrastructure and roads cannot support such an increase in population. Enough is enough!
