We need to add Honey Bees to The Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981. They are in decline and yet exterminators and pest controlllers are still permitted to kill colonies.

We just hit 250 signatures and it is clear that people are finished with letting these lazy exterminators destroy our essential pollinators. The people in charge at the Department for Environment will not be able to ignore us for much longer.

If feral bee colonies are not resistant to the many toxins and diseases that are wiping out domestic bees, then they will not survive and therefore do not need to be exterminated. If they are resistant, then we desperately need to keep them as a priceless gene pool. No reason to kill them, every reason not to.
How DEFRA, a government department bemoan the demise of the honey bee and yet our government doesn’t pass a law protecting them?
I had to fend off exterminators recently when someone asked on Facebook for help with a bee colony. People should not be allowed to kill bees - they need protecting.
This is devastating. Plenty of people around to relocate colonies humanely. Stop killing bees, please. There is no need to kill these wonderful creatures, hives do no harm to anybody :(
Extermination should never be allowed for honeybees. They should by law have to contact someone local who can remove them safely.

Without the beautiful bees we will BE no longer.

I am a pest controller, I never have nor never would exterminate honey bees. There is a simple and cheap way or making them move on when swarming which doesn’t harm them. Make it illegal to kill them.
