Saving the bees is no small matter. Colony Collapse Disorder threatens the survival of the Honey Bee, and without this incredibly vital species, we face the loss of production of over 1/3 of global agriculture. It's not a new battle, but it is still one in dire straits.
It is a battle that requires more than a small percentage of our population to raise their voices. It requires more than our voices, but our actions as well. Many people have begun to turn to beekeeping to help bolster the ranks of honey bees, and the biggest success in fighting CCD has been the small hobbyists who have added and supported hives in their yards and properties.
And yet those same people are being hamstrung by outdated laws and the ignorance-based fear of their communities. Texas State Legislature has recognized the importance of supporting the local beekeepers and it is time our cities do the same. Aledo City Ordinances MUST change their Bee-Related policies, and they must do it now.
Please sign our petition if you agree that all Aledo, Texas city ordinances regarding honey bees and the keeping of honey bees should repelled effective immediately.

Honey bee's are not dangerous, and are healthy for the ecosystem. The more bees the better!
Bees are already in existence in the area, having more can only benefit the area’s environment.
