I absolutely agree with school uniform but the cost should be kept to an absolute minimum. My older children had standard smart black trousers with polo shirts and lovely warm sweatshirts which were comfortable to wear and so much cheaper. In these times of austerity the school governing bodies need to be doing much more to help struggling families not make things even more difficult and stressful. I would not want my children attending a school where the head teacher would rather put them in isolation for something the school themselves have created! This should never have been agreed in the first place, what were the governors thinking?!

I don't think over £200 on one uniform, for one pupil, is in any way reasonable!

Uniform prices are pushing parents into debt they cannot get out of. This is very serious. I will have 3 children in high school soon. I don't want to think of the costs.

Getting too expensive

One shop should not have carte Blanche to charge as they please for uniforms. What happened to competition?

School uniforms make a statement, the problem is that schools who use 1 supplier are not taking into consideration - 1 the affordability for all 2 not everyone has the finances to pay for the changes to uniforms 3 it’s an infringement on your human rights to be able to buy uniform within your price range I’m all for schools having a uniform but to change it 3 weeks after you have already bought one lot is ab absolute ripoff

This practice is a rip off. Let people buy uniform and supply them with badges

Ridiculous prices . Parents may have the choice of buying food or school uniform
