We, the undersigned, object to the current plans from Norfolk County Council to introduce permit parking for Caernarvon Road, Norwich, as this could force Peapod pre-school to close.
Peapods has been running since 2011 and supports 80 families. While it often recruits staff from the local area, this is not always possible and some staff travel by car. They need to be able to park and without this facility they would not be able to continue working at Peapods, having a devastating impact on the pre-school.
We call upon the Council to revise the proposals to ensure they are fair to everyone on Caernarvon Road, including residents, Peapods and The Avenues school – which has stood for over 100 years.
There has to be a way to fix this, risking losing educational settings to raise funds through permits seems ridiculous
