Stop the ongoing euthanasia and transport of animals turned into the Duplin County Animal Shelter by

1/ Requiring all dogs and cats in the county to be licensed.

2/ Requiring a license fee of $15 per year for spayed and neutered cats and dogs.

3/ Requiring a license fee of $75 per unaltered dog or cat/male or female.

4/ Returning the funds collected by the license fee to Duplin County Animal Services to build a larger shelter, contribute to the low cost spay/neuter program currently in place with Pet Friends of Duplin County and their partners, and allow for an increase in ability for Duplin County Animal Services to adopt animals.

Please share and support a draft to ask our county commissioners to step u and make the changes we need so that we are not begging for rescues to transport- or worse- killing a high number of dogs and cats. Spay & Neuter... Save a life!

As someone who has rescued many dogs from this shelter—I can say it NEEDS HELP! $ generated by licensing, a bigger shelter!

I have 7 animals and would gladly pay the $105.00 a year, since all mine are spayed/neutered. Just want to make sure the money collected would go towards a new shelter!

We definitely need something! How about a discounted spaying/neutering program supported by local vets!
