Little Roos in Chaska has decided to hold a Drag Story hour for children on July 8 in Chaska. This is intended to “normalize” transgender lifestyle to children. There is a reason they are targeting a children’s store and not a nursing home. Chaska has always been a very sensible community and we don’t want this in our backyard. Please sign so we can show the Chaska City and Carver County leaders that we don’t want this in our community or around our children. We need to make a strong statement that this will not be accepted in Chaska. When you sign this, PLEASE put your city of residence in the comments. What sort of “inclusion” justifies the act of seeking to normalize adults acting out their fetishes and culturally appropriating/degrading women in front of children? Exploiting minors through drag story hours in the name of “inclusion” is emotionally manipulative for children and incredibly dehumanizing for women. Please, let’s all come together and evaluate how we are teaching our children to be loving and accepting without the need for men to dress up as a caricature of women for young children under the guise of “love, diversity and inclusion”.
Please consider parents wishes when holding events. As a parent of 4 children, I choose when and how I teach my children. As an involved parent who invests great amounts of time in my children's lives, I can see when it is the right time to teach them about topics within their ability to understand. Jesus loves everyone. I teach my children to show love and respect to everyone. Loving and respecting does not mean celebrating sin, whether that be hitting, using unkind words, or anything else the Bible calls a sin. Thank you for considering my request. Have a wonderful day! This sexualized performance is not good or protective for children. I live in Chaska. Please cancel this event and anything like it in the future.

As a frequent supporter of small businesses in Chaska and looking at a potential commercial building for sale to open a small business, I wholeheartedly disapprove Little Roo's intentions of having a Drag Queen Story hour for children. This is inappropriate in many aspects and I can assure you that while only few will speak up due to backlash, there are thousands more silently deciding not to support spending their money in the beautiful, up and coming town of Chaska I ask that community leaders and members stand united and put a stop to drag queen story hours and any other inappropriate content aimed at our children.
