Petition to the Boone County, Indiana Libraries
We, the undersigned residents of Boone County and surrounding areas, submit this petition to express our deep concern and disapproval regarding the Boone county Public Library’s ongoing promotion of LGBTQ and transgender ideology through its programs, displays, and community involvement. Many residents are troubled that our public library—entrusted with educating and shaping young minds—is focusing on ideological and sexual themes rather than literacy, learning, and virtue.
In recent months, the library has promoted “Transgender Visibility Day,” hosted LGBTQ book displays in the children’s, teen, and adult areas, and distributed copies of The Queerness Doesn’t Matter. It also participated in the first-ever Zionsville Pride Festival, where event publicity announced “drag story time and Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library staff story time” for children.
These are not isolated incidents but part of a concerning pattern of activism unfit for a taxpayer-funded institution. Families should be confident that the libraries provide wholesome, age-appropriate materials—not content that blurs moral boundaries or exposes children to adult themes.
We therefore request:
That the library cease sponsoring or promoting any event containing LGBTQ-themed or adult-oriented content. That it formally commits to never host, sponsor, or participate in a “drag story time” or any such events again. Those materials containing explicit sexual content or LGBTQ ideology be restricted to appropriate adult sections.
We are not motivated by hate, but by love for our children, reverence for truth, and a desire to see our community uphold the highest standards of goodness and integrity. We will not sit idly by while our public institutions promote what leads to moral confusion or the harm of children. We call on the Boine county libraries to restore public confidence through accountability and moral leadership.

Drag story time? No public tax dollars should go to support grooming events nor should they go to throwing false science at developing minds. It’s bad enough that Zionsville Community Schools vomit trans pride flags on you the second you open the door, but the library is getting aggressive with their trans propaganda. They need to #LeaveTheKidsAlone
Parents should choose what to promote or highlight to their children. The libraries should stay clear of political agendas. If not I have some topics I as a conservative would like to be promoted.
These issues are confusing and complicated for adults,let alone children.Let children be children and wait till adulthood to start exploring their sexuality!
Please, keep the adult themes in the adult section of the library. Children just want to read fun, entertaining books.
Your ideology and education belong to you, privately. There isn’t a need to push anything but God, Faith, Family.
Let’s get back to the basics of good and necessary education. i.e. reading, writing, arithmetic, englishish writing and grammar, civics, history (state, national and world), and any other subjects I.e. music, art, and philosophy.
There are two genders. Male and female. Speak the truth. Educate don’t indoctrinate.

Remove this trash. You removed To Kill a Mockingbird and other classics. Yet, you throw good money after trash like this
