Also.. on the back of my previous comment: We should also contact Morris Homes Head Office: 01625 544 444 to register our opposition with them. I have tried myself and the woman told me she was forwarding my message on to someone called Rob (in charge of Planning). Let's all get on the back of this, hopefully Morris Homes can have some impact.... Thanks :)
Do NOT mention the view being lost. It is not a planning reason and so will not be considered by the council - and may be a reason to disregard your objection completely. Hi All, As a resident of RV we also contacted the council who did advise that our site was not the preferred site - it is Cowling Road (near Spinners Arm). However, if this preferred site is discounted RV may be back in the running!. We have sent an email to the council as they advised as the form is not live electronically!!. I have also emailed St.James to obtain their views as my children will be attending here & we do have concerns.. as yet I have not received a response.
Looking at the sustainability report, the following quote for the Crosse Hall lane site looks at least a little promising: "Policy 8 – There is not sufficient space under criterion (b) for 5 pitches but the site could be suitable for fewer pitches. Development of this site could also have an unacceptable impact on the adjacent residential area. Criterion (d) of the policy says no unacceptable impact on the immediate surrounding areas and the wider landscape."
I'm disgusted this patch of grass is even being considered by chorley council. I hope Morris homes gets involved. They will struggle selling the remaining homes if they don't.
As a resident of Rivington view, we all need to get behind this by writing letters to our local Councillor/Council (I believe our local Councillors name is Terry Brown) opposing this provision. Terry’s email address is: [email protected] Not only would it diminish the beautifully-crafted aesthetics of the Morris Homes development (aesthetics that we have paid for in good faith that they will be preserved), but to put a site next to a school, which would only cause increased traffic and even more congestion! Please let's all support this and write / email to oppose this! The planning department at Chorley council is also: [email protected] or send them a letter to: Planning Policy, Civic Offices, Union Street, Chorley, PR7 1AL The deadline for this is WEDNESDAY 16TH JULY. my post gets deleted. Why you would consider that small piece of grass is pretty dumb. Yes they might get 5 caravans on there but what about the space for everything else that will be brought. Just read up on the facts associated with travelers and their sites. Increased burglary in the area, rubbish and contaminants over max capacity of any rubbish containers. Our area will become as good as derelict and the local businesses will soon have to close. Public disturbance (and there is already a lot of this at that top end near the sheps arms, ive had to wait for 6 police cars and ambulances / a fire engines!! in the last 3 years). what about that neighboring estate and the houses along that stretch? The school? It is a clear no to anyone with half a brain. Unless the person ticking the box for the go ahead is being mass cash incentives then it will go ahead anyway regarless of all this

I have emailed Morris Homes, and i got this response: "We have recently been made aware of this consultation document and our planning consultants Emery Partnership are currently preparing representations to the council. I have copied your e mail to our MD David Hesson so he can keep customers on our site informed. If you want to see our formal submission please let me know. Clearly it is also open to residents on our site to comment individually if you wish to do so."
