The ministry has officially confirmed that they are ending the practice of hiring unqualified contract teachers for our classrooms. I am overwhelmed knowing that these students will finally receive the quality education they truly deserve. We achieved this because we refused to accept anything less for our children.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels surreal because it proves that so many of you care about the quality of our classrooms as much as I do. My own daughter is currently in the system and she deserves teachers who have dedicated their lives to the craft of education. This shift in public feeling means we are finally being taken seriously by those who hold the power to change these hiring practices.

My younger sister deserves a teacher who has actually been trained to help her learn. We need to reach five hundred signatures to show the department that we are serious about ending these shortcuts.

Teaching is a profession. A teacher must have professional training. This training gives pedagogical knowledge and professional ethics for teachers. Thus, the teachers having this training should recruit in education. We don't want unprofessional jobless.
