We will not permit our government to "dumb down" our children. There is absolutely NO reason to change our education procedures, making things like math, a much harder solving process, than has been used for centuries. This must stop!

My daughter is not learning anything or should I say she is not be taught anything. Her homework doesn't get looked at or reviewed, she doesn't get a grade for any work she brings home. The teachers need to stand up for the students when they know that this core curriculum is not working efficiently.

My child in 4th grade comes home DAILY crying about school, all the work she can't keep up with, and her ANGRY teacher. It makes my soul so sad that I can't take it away. :(

My kids cry on a weekly basis because they are so frustrated trying to understand math using common core. Funny they get it just fine when my husband and I help them by showing them how WE learned it so long ago,when math was just math,and not a series of unnecessary steps that benefit no one and confuses everyone!

The Common Core is dumbing our kids down and causing too much stress and anxiety at young ages. Why can't kids figure out math problems different/easier ways and not have it count against them. There are more than one way to solve math problems. This common core is absolutely ridiculous! I can't figure it out and I have a college education but yet we expect 4th graders to do this? Unreal!!!!! Take common core out of TN or I will take my children out of public school.
