Stop Common Core in Tennessee

Common core has been a nightmare for our daughter. A nightmare. And she's an A student. I feel for students who were already struggling when common core took effect. Help us all.

The worst program that has ever happened to our school system.

Let the teachers teach! I have looked at some of the materials used are not age appropriate and often full of grammatical errors. The teachers see and know this but are stuck putting such in front of the students.

Using Common Core will make our students "just a number".....no individuality, no recognizing and encouraging different talents and abilities. Our children will become "robots" in schools....COMMON CORE IS HARMFUL TO OUR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION AND FUTURE!!!

Common core is not the right path for our children

I want freedom in my school choice. Common Core is not the solution to our state's problems.

I don't want a one size fits all program for my child! Common Core is not the answer to our education woes.

Please listen to the citizens!

There is no authority in the enumerated powers in Article 1, Section 8 of the US Constitution. So why aren't our elected officials telling the federal government what they can do with their "common core" and working to eliminate the un-constitutional Department of Education???

Common Core is more than an Eduction plan, it is a plan to destroy our state rights. Please do not take away our state rights by giving in to the seduction of money from the federal government. Our rights are not for sale.

Stop common core now. Stop the decline in common sense now. Let educators educate. Teach children to think. Stop diluting American history.

Control of education doesn't belong to the federal government! This is wrong and TN should not be apart of this!!

We need local determination of curriculum

Get rid of this nonsense that is dumbing down our kids. They need to be challenged not coddled!

Common core is a curriculum devised to indoctrinate our children into an anti-American and Pro Islamic mindset. Common core is full of inaccuracies in the textbooks and needs to be stopped immediately!

I home-school, because I want the liberty of choosing my curriculum around the specific needs of each of my children.

I will forever continue to homeschool as long as Common Core remains in our schools. Don't do this to all of those children, they are our future and deserve better!!!

We were doing revisions when I was a teacher to better education. I do not want Islamic teachings or socialist ideas to enter into the education of our children. We need to know a lot more. It shouldn't be like Obamacare. Adopt it and then read what is in it. We've had enough secrets. It's time for clarity before we adopt common core. Don't let money over substance be our objective for our children.
