Stop the Common Core now! My 10 year old daughter now gets anxiety and going to school. She has dropped her after school activities, that she has been involved in for the past 3 years. The math text books do not give examples of how to do the homework, I have to waste a lot of time in the evening going on line to help my daughter do her homework. Everyone is stressed, the teachers, principals, parents and students. I will OPT out for her to not take the common core tests this year.

I want this horrible test that is tearing my daughter apart to be abolished. There is no need to evaluate our kids in a manne that is going to discourage them form everyday life activities. My daughter wants to drop of after school activities because she is scared she will not have enough time to practice for these tests.

My children do not belong to the state. I decide what they learn and how they learn it. CC has nothing to do with bettering children or preparing them for success. It's an attempt to create brainwashed sheep and take control away from parents. I grew up in USSR and know a communist tactics when I see them! Keep your fascist hands off my kids!!!

I HEREBY AFFIRM that Common Core standards are regressive and destructive to the most vulnerable children in our school systems, and that these standards erode parental rights and local control, which are the primary bulwarks against legislative overreach. I ask the NY egislature to withdraw the state of New York from participation in the program.

am especially concerned with the federal government’s role in pushing the Common Core. Federal law prohibits the Department of Education from setting specific content standards, but using the Race to the Top program, the federal government has enticed many states to adopt the Common Core and develop curriculum and assessments aligned to the Common Core. Furthermore, I am disturbed by the efforts of the Department of Education and the Department of Labor—in connection with the Common Core—to begin collecting large amount of personal information on students from their preschool years through their entry into the workforce. This is extremely dangerous for the privacy of American schoolchildren.
