The number of people joining this effort is climbing steadily toward one thousand. This milestone represents a significant group of residents concerned about local control of our classrooms. Let us keep this momentum moving forward so our message remains impossible for state officials to ignore.

The petition just reached one hundred signatures. It is encouraging to see that so many others are thinking critically about the oversight of our local school curriculum.

The momentum building behind this request indicates that many families feel the same urgency regarding our state education policy. Reaching the first hundred signatures will provide a clear baseline of our collective concern when we present these findings to our representatives.

This CC agenda makes me sick. My nine year old daughter has had anxiety, even woken up in the night after having "nightmares" of failing her math homework. SERIOUSLY? There's nothing wrong with the old way. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
Common Core is pushing topics that are too mature for our children. Expectations are being set too high for our children and stressing them out. Common Core English doesn't even let our children be independent thinkers. They are forced to all think alike.
im all for increasing the difficulty of the classes but not the difficulty of math (427-316) is simple match why do I need a full page to draw out circles and curves with labels and a number lines?. I'm against the introduction of CCI in NEW YORK State
At the very least I would like to see 1. The common core state standards lowered to a reasonable level consistant with the history of the US Education system. 2. The sharing of student data with any government or private entity to cease.
My daughter has a learning disability which means she has too learn twice the amount of the other children in her class the work for her level and the work for her class level this common core does not take into consideration the children of special education.
This common core is a joke and why should kids struggle that hard in math it stinks especially for kids that have issues
Stop brainwashing our children.

I'm a welder that deals with math and fractions all day. My son is in second grade and I'm having trouble understanding what he's trying to explain. How am I suppose to help my son if he needs help, if I don't know how to help him. Common core needs to go!
