end this. It is making my 4 kids take 5 min to solve a 2 second math problem. I am frightened for the future of this state.

This is why parents are moving toward homeschooling their children. We (parents) were taught the old way for hundreds of years. And we got the answers right. Why change something that isn't broken? Homeschooled students score better on SAT and ACT and they are taught the old way by their parents. The curriculum is getting worse and more expensive to tax payers. LET THE TEACHERS TEACH.

No more common core! Every child is an individual and should be treated as such.

My special education granddaughter is in fourth grade and reading at a second grade level. My granddaughter is also at a second grade level in math, but, she is expected to take common core fourth grade test at the end of the year. Does this make sense TO ANYONE?

The common core state standards and state testing should be suspended for special education students. State testing for special education students should be on their functioning level, not grade level. These students are too fragile to take tests on their grade level due to their disability, emotional/psychiatric state and mental functioning. Tests on their functioning level should be the only requisite for them to take.

These are our children, not cattle, not a means to fatten pocketbooks. Our School taxes are plenty enough to pay for our schools... we don't want corrupt federal money blackmailing our schools. Shame on NYS for taking the bait and putting our children at risk for failure.

It places too much pressure on the children and its unfair. Critical thinking should be left to the adults.

This Curriculum is designed with a much larger scope then what we as parents are told under this collectivist agenda which completely destroys that which is in the interest of furthering the security of our nation for the next generation of work force labor. even now 4 year collage grads are graduating into a jobless recovery with thousands of dollars of debt and having to settle for bar back waitresses hosts clothing store jobs etc. it very closely embraces a strong communist side. but this is not the beginning of this Leviathan this is the middle. the beginning is found in the in Kindergarten but here is an example from 4th grade where in a state like Louisiana correct grammar is not important. " Fourth grade students in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. were given a homework assignment that included words like “Po Pimp” and “mobstaz,” but school officials said the worksheet was age appropriate based on an education website affiliated with Common Core education standards. We need to get rid of this travesty the collectivists call education.

Common core must be repealed! I hate to think of what the United States will become if this is implemented in all the schools across the nation. Take a look at what the common core curriculum did to the children in Nazi Germany. The similarities are frightening. The government has "no business" collecting information on my children. My children are Not a commodity, they are not pawns to be used by the government. There is not a single parent who should not sign this petition. Spread the word lets get legislation to repeal common core now!

Common core is just costing the gov. more money being that most kids don't understand the way things are being taught and need outside services.
