Not every child has the ability right out of the womb to grasp the knowledge that is expected w/ the Common Core Methods. Children who need additional help are being left behind because teachers are being forced to move forward with the cirriculum. Children are being forced to miss the experience of what knowledge truly is w/ education and are being instructed to be structured robots. Children are meant to be children and to enjoy the days of growing up w/ imagination and creativity. Having children in Pre-K and Kindergarten w/ pages of homework is ridiculous. Where is the Common Core helping Children be children? Furthermore, how is a parent suppose to support their child in their education if they too struggle to understand the method of these teachings.

This is an untested method and should not have been implemented by the Federal Government without proving it is superior to what it replaced. As a pediatrician it is not developmentally appropriate for young children.

Common core is a waste of time and energy for all students and parents. You should NOT have to do so many steps to solve a simple problem. Let the schools choose how to best teach their students!! STOP COMMON CORE!

My friend's 2nd grader's math homework isn't worded correctly. So the wording would confuse someone. Then, in another problem, it says "Oh, just keep guessing until you get the right number." This system is outrageous and makes no sense. Math is a universal language, don't change it now!

Are you kidding me this curriculum? My second grader's homework tonight told him to guess the answer to his math problem and then try adding the numbers to see if they make the answer. INSTEAD of teaching him to subtract, the instructions said, keep guessing until you get it right?!?!?!
