...Common core asks 9 year olds ( and 6,7, and 8 year olds) to think in ways that they are not yet able to think, because of their age. You can't speed up normal brain maturation.

My daughter who once loved and did well in Math is now stressed and having a hard time solving problems that otherwise would be easy using traditional methods. I am a network analyst in the banking industry needing to use critical thinking daily. If I cant help my 4th grader figure a problem out...something is VERY WRONG.

The common core program has made my kids hate going to school. My 5th grader is now having nightmares from the stress. I think a mass lawsuit may change ideas back to children and away from financial gains.

Just ridiculous!! If the parents have a hard time understanding this nonsense, how are our kids understanding it & what purpose is it serving other than aggravation?!

My daughters were A+ students until this common core mess and now I have kids with anxiety problems, why. Maybe because they are not robots and all children learning differently. They still are doing well but they are not doubting themselves. Way to go board of Ed
