It is ridiculous for the Chesterfield County Commissioners to consider allow additional development (homes) in this areas. Over the past several years with the already approved developments, the traffic delays and congestion that exist on 360 (Hull Street) going both East and West in this areas on a daily basis and throughout the day is unacceptable. As a result it has destroyed the peacefulness and enjoyable area that use to exist around Brandermill. It has become impossible to to travel Hull Street to run a quick errand almost any time during the day.. I have lived in Brandermill for 30 years and it is ashamed what the County Commissioners have allowed the big developers to do with this area. 1

These developments ruin the infastructure of a community. Initially they bring in money from the developers but overtime it becomes clear that this kind of development is unsustainable and creates headaches for everyone in the community. Look at the endless, thoughtless expansion of Loudon, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties in northern Virginia where the developers are from and the increase in traffic, the over crowded schools etc. This is not a good proposal and should be reconsidered or drastically scaled down.

No more development in this area. VDOT has several pending studies of this area and it’s irresponsible to cram in thousands of additional residents and vehicles before the current problems are fixed. Starting at 400k, this development also does not meet the standards of affordable housing that the board claims they want. Apartments and condos are generally short term housing.
The board should focus on current resident quality of life rather than increasing it’s tax revenue.

The constant development is harming our community. Schools are completely overwhelmed, even with the new addition. But worse than that, Chesterfield used to be GREEN. It was filled with acres and acres of trees. Every other day, there is a new patch of land that's been stripped of everything within a 3 mile radius of my house. Everyone knows the best way to combat climate change is with trees. They absorb our carbon footprint and aid greatly in keeping the temperatures cool. My children are so upset every time they see another area for construction, knowing full well that a loss of trees like that also means a loss of habitat for every animal living there. We are seeing an influx of dislocated bears (Brandermill and surrounding areas), deer, etc. I chose this county to live in because it's NOT Short Pump. I don't want to live in an area that has no trees left, bad traffic, and car wash after car wash after car wash. I want developers to pay into our schools when they build, so our district can keep class sizes manageable. We will see more tornados in our future and kids in trailers are not safe in these conditions. Nor are they safe if there was an active shooter, another reality schools have to face. We should be preserving the little bits of green space we have left. I'm so sick of the negative impact all of this is having on the environment around me. I used to be surrounded by trees. So many have been cut down. Look at Brandermill. The neighborhood was built among the trees. That space wasn't completely leveled and then built back up with houses and baby trees that will take years to provide the shade and oxygen their older counterparts were able to produce. We need leaders who will protect our environment. I want my kids to have green spaces in their community as they grow up. Sadly, most of them are already gone.

Build enough schools so kids are sitting in cold trailers before building more apartments.

The Chesterfield part of Hull Street Road has been out of control since the 1990s. People don't hate growth; they hate unplanned growth.

We don't need any more homes. Chesterfield is big enough, and has too many people and too much traffic.

Growth is good, however infrastructure should be considered before increasing housing developments. Too much growth too fast is bad for our community.

Enough is enough. Stop this massive building. We were a county, now it feels like a city. We are busting at the seams already. Roads and schools over crowded. When will the greed stop. Please no more!

The growth in this area has exploded, without a master plan ensuring quality of life for current Chesterfield County residents. A development of this size and density will adversely affect the schools in the area (which are already overcrowded), the reservoir (with the additional run off from increased pavement and lack of green space), and the traffic (which is already congested on inappropriate infrastructure). The BOS is supporting development that erodes the very reasons families sought to live here in the first place!

Infrastructure planning is part of a growth plan. If developers refuse to help pay for infrastructure, then they are not welcome.
