I'm a 7th grader who attends another school & find this ridiculous! The dress codes are getting worse because parents don't teach their kids to respect others! In school we have to wear shorts to our middle finger tips (too short for my comfort), BUT have you seen the length of a cheerleaders skirt?!? Or how about the length of the volleyball teams shorts?!? They're still representing the school's image but deemed okay? Get real! Stop making girls feel like a piece of meat just because you look at us youngsters in a sexual manner doesn't mean everyone else is!

While I believe it is important to have some limitations. Schools are getting completely out of hand with what is being considered sexually explicit. Instead of telling our girls to cover up, lets teach our boys self restraint and respect for females.

It is ridiculous that females can not wear leggings at this school. We don't wear leggings thinking... Hmmm Id really like if everyone at school would stare at my butt today... we wear them because they are comfortable

This dress code is seriously getting ridiculous! First off, where are parents supposed to buy their kids clothes? You can't find shorts that are as long as the school wants! As far as leggings go, you can't even find jeans that aren't form fitting, either! Unless, everyone starts buying their kids clothes at Good Will or the Salvation Army (which will never happen), you can't buy clothes that the school would consider appropriate! Wait, maybe they could go raid their grandmother's closet? When I took my daughter school shopping, every single pair of shorts she tried on, did not meet school requirements! A friend of my daughters had to call her mother to bring her another pair of jeans because of a hole the size of pea, and it may have even smaller than that! When I was in high school, we wore jeans with holes so big our calves, knees, and thighs where exposed! Oh, and by the way! The current Superintendent was the Principal, then! Yes, times have changed since then, but come on, this is ridiculous! The cheerleaders uniforms don't go past the tips of their fingers, and don't get me started on the volleyball shorts! The first time I was at a volleyball game, I was shocked at how short and tight they were, but that's okay! If boys are staring at the girls butts during school, they are definitely staring at them during a volleyball game! Instead of parents having to teach their daughters that they should be ashamed of their bodies, why don't parents teach their sons to control their hormones and to respect the opposite sex! Oh, and as far as the boys controlling their hormones, they are TEENAGE BOYS, they are just starting to learn how to control those hormones! So, either make them all wear uniforms that meet school requirements or send them all to school naked, so there's nothing to leave to the imagination! Now, if the shorts are so short that their butt cheeks are actually sticking out (pretty close to how short the volleyball shorts are), than, yes, have a problem

This is school is a Joke, who cares what we wear? Same thing going with jeans with a hole in them. What's the difference of a litte hole at/below the knee and shorts where you can see our whole leg?

This school is getting ridiculous

I could see if you could see someones underwear through the leggings or they were so tight their ankles are turning purple but now a days EVERYONE wears them!
