The government has finally stepped up to enforce the ban on blast fishing. It took a brutal amount of work to reach this point but the reefs now have a real chance to recover. We need to stay watchful to ensure these laws hold their weight in the years ahead.

The feedback I keep receiving from the coastal communities is grim because the destruction is still happening under our noses. It is exhausting to fight for reefs that are being shattered while the authorities look the other way. I am staying on this because the sea cannot afford for us to walk away.

This is destroying our reefs and soon there will be nothing left for the locals to catch. Really need the gov to step up and stop these people.
This is terrible for the environment and is disruptive to the ecosystem. Also it's just plain lazy and isn't actual fishing!
In the long term, this will harm the very fishermen trying to make a livelihood from fishing.
Yes, this act is illegal but has not been enforced due to some corruption...so help us bring this up and create some awareness!
I think this is a terrible method and very desperate attempt to get fish. This affects the ecosystem and aquatic life vey harshly. It is harmful for the fish and coral who breath life into the water we swim in.

STOP IT NOW! This is so cruel to the marine life and ruins the ocean for everyone. Please fix this mess.
