While I support a successful commercial airport in North County, I strongly oppose the expansion of Palomar. The decisions surrounding it appear to be politically driven, and the airport has a history of poor planning. Community concerns have been ignored, and its location is unsuitable for the proposed activities due to its single runway, fragmented parcels, landfill problems, and proximity to densely populated residential areas. This could be an ideal opportunity to reconsider transforming Mirama into a commercial site.

The county has made no effort to help mitigate noise in an obvious attempt to extract resources from the community w/o due representation

We were told no expansion and we hope this little airport remains its size. The quiet hours need to be reinstated as they were-

The entire airport situation is a mess. Not only big jets not abiding by the Quiet hours, but props operating any time they wish.

That little airport is a Terrible waste of County assets benefiting a small minority of residents while disturbing the peace and safety of thousands.

Don’t let Carlsbad lose control of its quality of life. Our small airport was never designed — or approved — for commercial traffic.
