The County needs to stop twisting words and meanings. The Annexation says it all...Carlsbad has Final Authority.

Carlsbad and county promised to keep Palomar a general aviation B-II airport. Because the county installed landfills which create methane gas at the runway end, county is ignoring major safety issues. When questioned about this in its 2018 PMP/EIR county said it only had to discuss environmental not safety issues. Just sad,.

Do not make Carlsbad another John Wayne/Orange county. Follow the rules. Obey the no fly hours.

Stop big jet planes from flying over our community. It’s loud and wakes me up in the early hours of the mornings. Dumps fuel drops and exhaust causing harm and contamination and pollution to our neighbors and communities. They fly over my place so close that it’s scary and I’m concerned about potential crash and all the destruction it can cause.

If big jets are allowed at the Palomar Airport, the noise will be unbearable and will make the soot (that is now already falling from fuel burning smaller aircraft) will be worse. The quality of life will be compromised

No commercial jets, no low flying noisy polluting planes that fly over homes and schools and no operations day and night for cargo jets, which wake us up and keep us up all night.
The County has not considered the City of Carlsbad's CUP and ordinances. The County needs to cooperate with the City of Carlsbad. Period.

I strongly oppose the expansion of airport uses in Carlsbad. San Diego County already has an international airport with a brand-new terminal sufficient to support these flights. The San Diego Lindbergh Field airport is readily accessible from Carlsbad. There’s an abundance of free parking at the Carlsbad Transit Center. Trains run on a regular schedule to the downtown San Diego Union Station and from there the 992 City Bus has travelers at the curb of Departures within a matter of minutes. It’s simply not necessary to add the noise, pollution and additional traffic to Carlsbad when a major airport is so easily accessible.

This is a family suburban area. The last thing we want is loud airplane noise flying around. This is the SUBURBS! Please keep large aircraft in the city where it belongs.

Please, I implore you, consider those of us that live near Palomar airport and are having to deal with the noise and pollution that these planes are already causing….which would only be worse with more and larger planes/jets!
Thank you for your contemplation and thoughtfulness!!

The County needs to adopt and enforce mandatory noise abatement procedures for Palomar Airport. The County has not enforced the voluntary noise abatement procedures in the last 10-15 years and air traffic, esp. jet air traffic is increasing.

I strongly support all efforts to limit the size of aircraft using Palomar Airport to smaller planes primarily intended for private flights.

County needs to show good faith to the citizens of Carlsbad and abide by the laws and the permit procedures before entering into new contracts.
